Workshop Assistant/Trainee



Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant/Trainee to help with workshop and basic auto mechanical tasks and general cleaning duties and maintenance.
This vacancy is a workshop support position to the mechanics and best suited for an applicant with a strong interest in mechanics looking to begin employment in a workshop environment with knowledge of the basics. This will be a hands on role and a perfect opportunity for an individual looking to learn and grow within a highly experienced friendly family run restoration company.

Day to day tasks include:
Maintenance of workshop, cleaning floors, monitoring bin levels and general cleaning tasks to ensure workshop is kept in great condition
Assisting our in-house mechanics with mechanical jobs
Basic auto mechanical work
Maintaining stock supplies
Driving duties
Accurately record time to complete jobs and associated detail

You will Need:
Full current driving license
To work flexibly to meet the requirements of the role
Basic understanding of mechanical works
Interest in Classic Cars preferred
The ability to work on own initiative
Excellent practical skills
Willingness to learn new skills and knowledge
Excellent communication skills

The job is physical – the candidate should be in good health and be prepared to get stuck in

Salary: £15,000.00-£22,000.00 per year

Classic Car Mechanic/Vehicle Technician



Job description

We are recruiting for an experienced Classics Car Mechanic/Vehicle Technician to join our team. We are looking for someone who has a strong work ethic, willingness to learn and develop in our team. Competitive salary depending on experience. The ideal candidate will be qualified to City and Guilds or equivalent standard.

You should have the ability to work on your own initiative, some fabrication/electrical experience is desirable.

Hours of work Monday to Friday 8.30 to 5.30

Desired experience and key skills:
Qualifications and a high level of competence in mechanical servicing and repair work
Considerable previous experience on a wide variety of cars, especially classics
High level of competency in problem solving
Ability to self-manage and work well with others
A full, clean driving license, valid to drive in the UK
Flexibility to work during busy periods to meet deadlines
A passion for working with classic cars
